The Great Alabama 650 is a 650-mile paddling race that runs for 10 days from October 3–13, 2026, following the Coosa River from Weiss Lake to Fort Morgan. This is the longest paddle race in the U.S., and it's free to watch the action kick off at the Coosa River Board Walk in Gadsden.
