Our Publishing Principles

Editorial Standards

Hollr's goal is practical local information—not manufactured authority, copied promotion, or pay-to-play facts.

Accuracy and local relevance

  • Publish information that helps people understand what a business offers or what an event involves.
  • Prefer first-party and authoritative sources for names, dates, locations, status, and contact details.
  • Distinguish known facts from promotional claims and omit claims that cannot be reasonably supported.
  • Avoid invented listings, fabricated reviews, misleading rankings, and false scarcity.

Originality, attribution, and automation

Hollr may use software and AI-assisted tools to organize facts, identify duplicates, and rewrite scraper-originated event descriptions into concise original language. Automated output remains subject to publication rules and can be corrected or removed.

Direct wording supplied by users, business owners, and event organizers is not treated as scraper copy to be automatically rewritten. Source ownership and copyright remain with their respective owners.

Independence and commercial features

Payment may provide clearly described products or enhanced placement, but it does not purchase factual approval, favorable editorial conclusions, or immunity from correction and removal rules.

Hollr does not accept compensation to knowingly publish false information. Material sponsored or paid placements should be identifiable to users where the commercial relationship could affect how the content is understood.

Accountability

Hollr updates material factual errors when reliable information becomes available. Readers, owners, and organizers can use the corrections process to question a listing or provide better evidence.
